The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Dhruva Advisors LLP organized a Webinar on “Impact of recent Supreme Court rulings on Charitable Trusts and Partnership Firms” on December 21, 2022 on online platform.

The Supreme Court of India has recently pronounced few landmark judgements in the context of taxation of charitable institutions.  These judgements provide significant insights on the key tax framework of charitable institutions and the activities which could qualify as a ‘charitable purpose’ for tax exemptions.  

In case of Partnership Firms the Supreme Court has also pronounced a ruling where by revaluation of assets are taxable in the hands of partners.

In this backdrop, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a Webinar on “Impact of recent Supreme Court rulings on Charitable Trusts and Partnership Firms” in association with Dhruva Advisors LLP. The Speakers were Mr. Aditya Hans, Partner, Dhruva Advisors LLP, Mr. Saurabh Shah, Principal and Mr. Basant Gadhyan, Principal from Dhruva Advisors LLP. The Session was concluded with an interactive and Q/A session with the participants. More than 70+ participants from various industries from all over India attended the Webinar.
