The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized 2nd Edition of Cyber Security Course 2023; focusing on Ransomware and Data Privacy, in association with WEBEl− Fujisoft Vara CoE Industry 4.0.

It is an annual initiative of The Bengal Chamber. The Chamber successfully launched the 1st edition of Short−Term Certificate Course on Cyber Security in 2022, focusing on Vulnerability Management (in association with Tenable) and Social Engineering. Following the feedback from the participants of the previous edition, the IT Committee of The Bengal Chamber had embarked on the initiative of presenting 2nd Edition of the Cyber Security Course.

The Workshop was intended for all Cyber security, IT and Financial Services professionals who are responsible for defending against ransomware attacks, maintaining data privacy and anyone having responsibility with any form of Information Technology−based work.

The course addressed latest developments in ransomware and its threats in the present condition; what kind of measure should be taken to counter the threats; aspects of data privacy and its application and importance in the aspects of personal identifiable information (PII) act.

It was a 12 hours course in immersive mode− 4th March 2023 (Ransomware in CoE); 10th March 2023 (Data Privacy virtually); 17th March 2023 (Data Privacy virtually) and 25th March 2023 (Ransomware in CoE).

The workshop had 21 participants including CEO, IT Professionals and others from corporates like Air Water India Pvt Ltd; Bengal Gas Company Limited; Capital Numbers Infotech Private Ltd.; CDAC Kolkata; Exide Industries Limited; Infinity Infotech Parks Limited; Jupiter Computers; mjunction Services Limited; Ratq Science & Tech; RPSG Ventures; Saha Steel Pvt. Ltd.

The concluding session of the course was followed by certificate distribution ceremony. Mr. N K Ghosal, Member, IT Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mentor, WEBEL−BCC&I Tech Incubation Center and Director, NKG & Associates presented the joint certificates (WEBEL− Fujisoft Vara CoE and The Bengal Chamber) to the participants and prizes to the winners of the Quiz.
