Online Taiwan Expo 2022, 28th – 30th September 2022, Virtual Platform
Taipei World Trade Centre, Kolkata (TAITRA), in association with The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I), had organized Taiwan Expo 2022 from 28th to 30th September 2022 on virtual platform. This Expo had exhibitors from different industrial sectors of Taiwan− Fitness Devices, Medical & Tele Healthcare, AVL&GPS tracking Devices, Home life components, ICT, IOT & Smart Electronics, Packaging material & Machinery to name a few. Some prominent Taiwanese companies which were present in the event were Avalue Technology, AREC, In Win Development, Joy Com Bio-Cem, MSI, Somnicsinc, Toyo Automation, General Biologicals, BXB Electronics, VicRound etc.
The main objective of the event was to develop bilateral trade relations between India and Taiwan and widen the connection between the two countries, both economically and culturally. This was done by conducting dedicated, one− to−one B2B meetings between the Taiwanese exhibitors and relevant and potential Indian buyers engaged in manufacturing, distributing and providing the same line of products or services.
Through some intense primary and secondary market surveys, BCC&I was able to connect with around 130 Indian units located across India by informing them about the event and helping them realize how fruitful the meetings may be for them. The Chamber finally organized a total of 111 one-to- one B2B meetings.
The opening ceremony of the event was hosted in Taiwan. In Kolkata, the event was coordinated from the King’s Bakery, Kolkata. The event commenced at 10.30 a.m. (IST) on 28th September 202 and the opening ceremony was followed by the one−to−one B2Bs. A total of 54 meetings were conducted virtually on that day. Some eminent Indian organizations which were a part of this event on 28th were Fortis Hospitals, CMRI Hospital, Apollo Pharmacy, Emami Frank Ross Ltd, TATA Medical, Institute of Neuroscience etc.
On 29th September 2022, Telemedicine service providing medical facilities like Ruby General Hospital, Saroj Gupta Cancer Institute, wholesalers of various types of ladders like B. Impex & Trade, Sai Siddhi Corporation and Alum Fab, healthcare facilities treating sleep apnea like Tribeca and Physfix, wholesalers dealing with air compressors like Verbessern Drives And Energy Solutions LLP, Tradetech and companies dealing with face recognition access control like Avs Solutions, Anu India Pvt. Ltd., etc were present in the meetings. A total of 36 meetings virtually were organised on this day.
30th September 2022 was the last day of the event on which, a total of 21 virtual meetings were conducted. On this day, companies dealing with Hepatitis Elisa/ Pcr & Covid 19 Pcr/Rapid Test/Elisa, VTM, Extraction like The Mission Hospital, KPC, companies dealing with gaming, content creations like A.C. Infotech, etc were present in the meetings.
The event was witnessed live by a lot of visitors out of which The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry coordinated and facilitated 200 visitors registration and viewing. The companies and the viewers who took part in the event gained knowledge about the international markets and shared their thoughts with each other. The stakeholders of the 3−day expo were pleased with the efforts of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry and TAITRA to expand the trade relations between India and Taiwan, and wished for more such events in the future.
