Ms. Lucia Paternina Torme, Chief Economic & Commercial Counsellor to India, Embassy of Spain and Ms. Vineeta Chauhan, Deputy Market analyst, Economic and Commercial Office, Embassy of Spain in New Delhi, visited The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 30th May 2023.

From The Bengal Chamber, participants across various companies like Exide, CESC, Cenergist Energy Private Limited, NTPC Limited, Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd, Indo Hispanic Language Academy, Kolkata were present.

Mr. Subir Chakraborty President, The Bengal Chamber and Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Exide Industries Limited welcomed them formally. Mr. Gautam Ray President Designate, The Bengal Chamber and Executive Director (HR & Admin.) − CESC Limited & President (HR) − Power Group, RPSG, CESC Limited and Mr. Deb A Mukherjee Former President, The Bengal Chamber and Managing Director, Cenergist Energy Private Limited along with Mr. Subhodip Ghosh, Director General, The Bengal Chamber were also present among others.

The discussions were centered around focus on overseas trade, programmes and engagements through The Embassy. It was emphasised to focus on trade negotiation between India and European Union along with focus on EV vehicles, trade, and investment of Spain in India. Discussion was also held regarding Start−up Collaboration and Incubation Collaboration along with pilot projects in Green Hydrogen and Batteries.
