The Bengal Chamber of Commerce along with The Indian Football Association (IFA) organised a felicitation ceremony wherein all Sports Journalists from Kolkata who were going to Qatar to cover the FIFA World Cup were felicitated by some of the leading Former Footballers of the City.

Journalists from publications like Bartaman, Aajkaal, Sangbad Pratidin, ABP, Aei Samay, The Hindustan Times, The Telegraph, Uttar Banga Sambad and All India Radio were felicitated.

The felicitations were followed by a Panel Discussion Session moderated by Dr. Pallab Basu Mallick, where some of the journalists shared their experiences of covering previous FIFA World Cup events, besides sharing anecdotes of their interactions and encounters with some of the Stars of global Football.
